Bernard J. "Bo" Delaney

Bo was born September 6, 1972, in Beaufort, South Carolina, the son of Patricia Monnat King and Bernie Delaney.

He was a 1990 graduate of New Berlin High School. Bo worked many years as a natural and skilled carpenter and would always lend a helping hand. He loved to be around people and make them laugh. Bo had a smile that would light up any room. He enjoyed traveling, watching football, and the beach. Bo was an avid 80s music fan and a live music sound technician.

Bo was preceded in death by his son, Alex M. Delaney and grandson, Albin Billups, Jr.

He is survived by his children, C.J. (Cassie) Delaney of Springfield and Lexi Delaney of Pleasant Plains; grandchildren, Rowan and Renna Delaney; parents, Pat and Ike King of New Berlin and Bernie and Sharon Delaney of Des Plaines, IL; siblings, Rob (Tonya) Delaney of Franklin, Katie Workman (Joe Ludtke) of Springfield; and Lu (Aaron) Bauman of New Berlin; three nephews; and four nieces.

Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. on Friday, January 6, 2023, at Butler Funeral Home-New Berlin, 714 E. Gibson St., New Berlin, IL. A funeral ceremony will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Brady Reuter officiating.

Cremation will be provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center following ceremonies.
