Betty Walter Bloedel

Betty Walter Bloedel, 72, of Springfield, died on Thursday, January 31, 2008 at Memorial Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family Betty was born December 17, 1935 in Berlin, IL, the daughter of Elmer and Margaret Elliott Walter. Betty was a 1953 graduate of New Berlin High School. She was employed by the Secretary of State's office for over 30 years, retiring in 1999. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren and attending their activities. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother: Elliott Walter and a niece. She is survived by one daughter: Teri (husband, Rick) Roscetti of Sherman; three grandchildren: Ashleigh, Nick and Joe Roscetti; one sister: Dorothy Walter of Ocala, FL; one brother: Jim (wife, Jan) Walter of The Villages, FL; two nephews: Steve (wife, Linda) and Eric (wife, Kathy) Walter; two great-nephews: Jerrod (wife, Lindsey) and Jake Walter; one great-great-nephew: Gentry Walter; and her beloved pet: Pooky. Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to the memorial ceremony. Memorial ceremonies will be at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 3, 2008 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield with Vaughn Beeman officiating.
