

Betty Jean (Turner) Sias, 89, of Springfield, passed away at 12:35 a.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2018, at Memorial Medical Center. Betty was born on June 29, 1929, in Williamsville, the daughter of Scott W. and Mabel C. Winchester Turner. She married Clifford "Roy" Sias on November 25, 1950; he preceded her in death on October 10, 1984. Betty attended Williamsville Schools and was a proud homemaker. Prior to raising her family, she was employed with Franklin Life Insurance in Springfield. Betty will be remembered for her cheerful personality and kindness. She was a member of the Eagles Club and was active at the Springfield Supportive Living. Betty enjoyed working puzzles, reading, and Bingo. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Robert, Wayne, and Fred Turner; and three sisters, Wilma Harman, June Miller, and Mary Feeley. Betty is survived by her children, Stephen Roy (wife, Brenda) Sias of Webster Groves, MO, Barbara (Kevin) Poe of Divernon, Marsha Ramsay of Springfield, and Keith (wife, Kara) Sias of Springfield; six grandchildren, Megan (Greg) Winczewski of Ada, MI, Zachary (wife, Maureen) Sias of St. Louis, MO, Jeremy (wife, Christine) Ramsay of Springfield, Phillip (Kate Kluge) Poludniak of Springfield, Holly Sias of Chicago, and David Sias of Naperville; three great-grandchildren; brother, Billy D. (wife, Carolyn) Turner of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 10:00 - 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2018, at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. A ceremony will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Terry Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Williamsville.
