Beverly Joyce Schroll

Beverly J. Schroll, 77, of Springfield, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born on December 4, 1935 in Springfield. Beverly married John Schroll on October 2, 1955, after dating all through high school. Beverly was a member of St. John�s Lutheran Church in Chatham and was quite active in her younger years. She enjoyed Bridge Club, and was an excellent cook, always scouting cookbooks, Chatham�s Library and the internet for new recipes for her family. Mrs. Schroll enjoyed traveling with her family, decorating for the holidays and spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Schroll will be greatly missed by her husband, John; daughter Sue (David) Balster of Springfield; sons, John Schroll, Jr. of Loami, and Steve Schroll (significant other Anne Baker) of Chatham; grandchildren Dan (Emily) Schroll of Tampa, FL, Katie (Daniel) Miller of Hannibal, MO, David Balster, Dalton Balster, Amy Balster all of Springfield, Natalie Schroll of Bloomington, John Schroll III of Springfield; great granddaughter Zayli Miller of Hannibal, MO; sisters-in-law Janet (Dr. James) Stoeckel of Texas and Joyce Sonntag of Glenarm; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Donna Brunner, step father Herbert Sonntag and half brother Herbert Sonntag. Visitation and Funeral: Her family will greet friends from 9-11am, Saturday, November 30, at Staab Polk Memorial Home, 8855 State Rt. 4, Chatham. Funeral Ceremony at 11am, Saturday, November 30 at Staab Polk Memorial Home, Chatham with Rev. Clarence Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at Chatham Memorial Cemetery.
