

Beverly J. Skowronski, 87, of Oro Valley, AZ, formerly of Springfield, IL, passed away on February 27, 2025. Beverly was born on September 15, 1937, in LaSalle, IL, to Rose and Joseph Mussatto. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother (GaGa) and great-grandmother. Beverly worked at Westclox in Peru, IL, until she met and married the love of her life, Donald, in 1959. They moved to Springfield in 1965, where Beverly devoted her time to raising their five children. She enjoyed her volunteer work at Church of the Little Flower, spending time with her friends making ceramics, league bowling, crafting, and going to craft festivals.
Beverly was extremely proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with them, whether they were chatting on the phone, or spending time when they would visit; lounging around her pool, getting pedicures together, shopping, and eating lunch and dinner at their favorite restaurants.
She will be forever missed by family and friends. Beverly is survived by her children, Jill Skowronski of Topeka, KS, Don (Donna) Skowronski of Springfield, IL, Mari (Matt) Stadler of Topeka, KS, and Lea Anne (Mark) Liberty of Oro Valley, AZ; son-in-law, Brian Mathiot of St. Louis, MO; grandchildren, Brooke (Kendall), Adam, Josh, Emma, Jordan, Maggie, Mason, Joseph and Camaryn; great-grandsons, Liam and Lucas; great-granddaughter, Lydia; and sisters, Sandra (Dave) Prescott of Schaumburg, IL and Marguarite Flannery of Pewaukee, WI. Beverly was predeceased by her loving husband of 58 years, Donald; and beloved daughter, Caroline Mathiot.
Visitation: Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. on Friday, March 21, 2025, at Butler Funeral Home - Springfield, 900 S. Sixth St., Springfield, IL. The visitation will begin with a prayer service at 4:45 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Church of the Little Flower, 800 Adlai Stevenson Dr., Springfield, IL, with Rev. Allen Kemme, celebrant. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Granville, IL, at 2:00 p.m., with Fr. Patrick DeMeulemeester officiating.
