My Family lived next door to the Eldridges on Canedy. Diane, my Sister had Mr. E for choir. I now work for the talking book program. I just want to say I will remember both fondly

To Bonnie, David, and Blythe's beloved grandchildren-My family and I will never again have the privilege of meeting two more beautiful people than Blythe and Carlton. There are so many cherished memories-of moving next door to them, the pies Blythe brought over and all the sour dough cookies; of Carlton playing the piano; all the bird-watching, sharing our Thanksgiving dinners,the blueberries from Michigan, the times I just called and they would come,being by my side when my husband died, being with Blythe when Carlton died. They gave so much and will be engraved in our hearts forever.We were blessed by their love and I thank God for putting them into our life.Blythe once gave me some surprise lilies from her yard. These same lilies pop up in my yard now and when they do, I will know she is smiling at me. Thank you for sharing your mother and father with my family. Jackie K

I wish to thank all of those who have expressed sympathy with the passing of Blythe, the other half of a unique duet. As a child I fondly remember a house full of bright and interesting students and teachers, strawberry shortcake festivals, concerts, choirs and operas. Every evening after we were tucked into bed, Blythe would painstakingly read each musical score to be then transcribed into Braille by Carlton as Braille scores did not exist. Many of you helped ship the thousands of pages to a college in California so that the precious works would be preserved and used. Blythe was extremely talented in her own right and possessed a lovely voice but was content to work in the background. Their many former students, fellow professors and friends were extraordinarily devoted to them and never hesitated to be of assistance and comfort. To Mr. David Eldridge and Mrs. Bonnie Eldridge Torres & Family The staff and students at Daniel Axford Elementary School would like to extend our condolences to your family. We are fortunate that we have a permanent display of pictures and mementos that belonged to Daniel and the family in our showcase. It gives us an important glimpse of the history of our school and community, and is a wonderful way to welcome new families.

Your parents were not only close friends but mentors for us. Your father sang at our wedding. John was a former student of Carlton's and holds both Blythe and Carlton dear to his heart. We, too, enjoyed seeing you, Bonnie, and you, David, grow into adulthood whilst enjoying the famous "Strawberry Festival" and Ice Cream gatherings throughout the years. Through your efforts, Bonnie, we were able to keep closer contact with Blythe after you introduced her to the Internet. I now relish in the long phone visit Blythe and I had in late January. Your sadness and gladness, dear Cousins, we very much share as Blythe joins the Ancestors. As my mother (Madge Adella Axford Finke)'s only cousin, Blythe was very much a part of the Growing Up stories. Our times together as children; the wonderful times together when Bonnie and family visited Bill and me in Birmingham; then the balm of having Bonnie and Pepe at my Mom's funeral -- these are all are precious jewels in my memory bank.
