Bonnie S. Maxey (Catalano)

Bonnie was born December 16, 1954, in Castlewood, MO, the daughter of Herbert L. and Dorothy E. Maxey. She married Gyuseppe “Joe” Catalano on July 4, 1996, in Springfield, IL; he preceded her in death on February 5, 1997.

Bonnie was stubborn, independent, funny, and straightforward. She was a homemaker and family was very important to her. She had a strong bond with her sister, Cindy. Bonnie enjoyed fishing, car rides around the lake, watching Looney Tunes, the Three Stooges, and other old classics. She also enjoyed eating out, especially buffets, Pepsi, Oreos, and loved animals.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; siblings, George Maxey, Herbert Maxey III, and Cynthia Maxey; and many beloved pets.

Bonnie is survived by her children, Christina Wright of Edinburg, IL, Melissa (Darrell Maggard, Jr.) Catalano, Kimberly Catalano, Joseph (Amanda Beard) Catalano, Ricardo Catalano, and Carla Catalano, all of Springfield; grandchildren, Anthony, Emily, Alex, Austin, Melanie, Elizabeth, Mary, Matthew, Elliott, Kaylee, Carli, Mason, Adalyn, Hunter, Aiden, Gabriel, and Maggie; sister, Rose Boosinger of Springfield; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her beloved dogs, Missy and Rocky.

Private family services will be held.
