

Bruce L. Butler, 80, of Chatham, passed away at his residence, Monday, February 15, 2016, surrounded by his family. He was born December 16, 1935, to the late Ray I. and Dorothy Griewe Butler. He married Collette Wavering May 24, 1959. Preceded in death by his brother Lyle Kent Bulter. He served his county in the US Army 1955-1958, serving in Germany. Bruce worked as a design engineer for Allis Chalmers/Fiat Allis for 29 years and retired from Bunn-O-Matic. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Collette, of Chatham; daughter, Kelli Albers (companion, Steven Rothlisberger) of Belton, MO; sons Kyle (Janet) Butler of Chatham and Kevin Butler of Chatham; grandchildren, Nicole Albers (companion Kevin Sontag) of Eudora KS, Courtney (BJ) Richter of Kansas City, MO, Ryan Butler, Chatham, Audrey Butler of Chatham, Ashley (Lathe) Fishburn of Edinburg, Brittany Butler of Lubbock, TX; great Grandchildren, Frederick and Grant Richter and Addy Fishburn; sister Raola Felker of Sacramento, CA; sister-in-law, Marge Butler of Mt. Sterling, IL. Cremation rites will be accorded by Cremation Services of Central Illinois, Chatham before services. Memorial gathering: His family will greet friends from 4-7pm, Friday, February 19, 2016, at Staab Polk Memorial Home, 8855 State Route 4, Chatham. Graveside committal service will be held at 11am, Saturday, February 20 at Chatham Memorial Cemetery, with Paula Staab Polk as Committal Celebrant.
