Christine M. Cabrera

Christine M. Cabrera, 66, of Springfield, passed away on May 30, 2023 at her residence. She was born on August 18, 1956 in Chicago to Robert Kehl and Ida Mae Lobenhofer. Christine married Robert Cabrera in Chicago on April 8, 1978 and he survives.

Mrs. Cabrera is also survived by two sons: Robert (Susy) Cabrera II of Chatham and Christopher (Jenna) Cabrera of Westminster, CO., seven sisters: Joanne Blake of Cary, IL., Diane Pernice of Streamwood, IL., Carmen Buckley of Schaumburg, IL., Cheryle Cabrera of Downers Grove, IL., Michelle Wilki of Huntley, IL., Theresa (Paul) Vera of Roselle, IL., and Linda (Henry) Maan de Kok of Algonquin, IL., and her beloved father-in-law Peter J. Cabrera of Algonquin, IL. She was preceded in death by one son, David Cabrera.

Christine enjoyed crocheting, crafts, puzzles, gardening and dominos and she was an avid book reader. She will be remembered as a selfless, generous person who was devoted to her family and friends.

Cremation rites were accorded. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 11 am at St. Zachary Church, 567 W. Algonquin Rd., Des Plaines, IL 60016. The family will greet friends from 10 am until time of the service at 11 am.
