Christopher R. Wieland

Chris was born April 5, 1977 in Springfield, the son of Dennis and Shirley Wieland.

Chris proudly served our country in the U.S. Army for four and a half years. He was a member of River Bottom Rejects and Teamsters Local 916. He enjoyed fishing, riding ATVs, and spending time with his best friend, his dog, Roxy, on the Sangamon River.

Chris was preceded in death by his brother, Harold William Wieland.

He is survived by his parents, Dennis and Shirley Wieland of Springfield; one brother, Steve (Jill) Wieland of Chatham; three nieces; one nephew; several cousins; and aunts and uncles.

Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.

Visitation: Family will receive friends from 10:00 11:45 a.m. on Monday, January 22, 2018 at Boardman-Smith Funeral Home, 800 South Grand Avenue West, Springfield.

Funeral Ceremony: 12:00 p.m. on Monday, January 22, 2018 at Boardman-Smith Funeral Home with Pastor Calvin Miller officiating.
