

Clara Elizabeth Palmer, 94, of Nokomis Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, passed away at 6:40 p.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Pana Community Hospital. Clara was born December 23, 1916 in Greenwood Township, the daughter of Tony and Dena Niesman Lehnen. Clara worked as a seamstress at Marine Garment Factory for 27 years. She was a very caring, loving and outgoing woman who loved her family, sewing, gardening, canning and sight-seeing. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Doloris "Joy" Friedrich; three sisters, Evelyn, Agnes and Gertrude; and three brothers, Harvey, Victor and Charles. She is survived by her grandchildren, Bryan, Brent and Kevin Friedrich and Brenda LaVigne; great-grandchildren, Jacelyn Friedrich, Valerie Butler, Russell Smith, Megan Graichen, Samantha Friedrich, Sara Friedrich, Bryan Friedrich, Jr., Craig Friedrich, Blaine Friedrich, Caleb Friedrich, Mandi Vehlow, Jason Friedrich, and Brittany Friedrich; great-great-grandchildren, Owen Yeager, Jacob Yeager, Dylan Yeager, Camilla Butler, Caden Friedrich, Braden Vehlow and Gavin Friedrich. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 25, 2011 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Funeral Ceremony: 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 25, 2011 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, with Celebrant Judy Woerner officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
