Constance "Connie" Marie Sprague

Constance �Connie� Marie Sprague, 51, of Springfield, passed away Monday, October 20, 2014 at St. John�s Hospice. She was born March 30, 1963 in Joliet, IL to Jack and Sharon Van Winkle Swann. Her father preceded her in death. She will be greatly missed by her children, Shay Sprague and John Kimball Sprague III both of Jacksonville, Kimball Dearing Sprague of Murrayville and their father, John Kimball Sprague, Jr., of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Cadence, Chayse and John; mother, Sharon (Ray) Kruse of Springfield; brother, Chris (Pamela) Swann of Japan; sisters, Janet Lou (Russ) Mahares of Arlington, Virginia, Jackie Rae (Rod) Horchem of New Berlin, and her dear friends Gayle Johnson and Barb Perkins both of Chatham. Connie enjoyed working at the Apple Barn in Chatham for 15 years as a pastry chef and was known as the �pie momma�. If you ever sampled her butter cake or lemon bars, you would definitely come back for seconds! Cremation rites will be accorded by Cremation Services of Central Illinois, Chatham, before services. A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, October 24, 2014 at Staab Polk Memorial Home, 8855 State Rt 4, Chatham, IL, where her family will greet friends from 5-7pm; a memorial service will follow at 7pm with Reverend Dr. Wayne Hoffman officiating.
