Curtis Dale Claycomb

Curtis was born December 18, 1962, in Springfield, the son of Leslie D. Sr. and Wanda Crouse Claycomb. He married Vicky Vespa on June 28, 2014.

Curtis attended Lanphier High School and had been employed as a videographer at WICS Channel 20 and a production manager at Beatty Televisual, Inc. Before he was hospitalized, he was employed as a night janitor at Chatham School District #5.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ernest J. Claycomb.

Curtis is survived by his wife, Vicky Claycomb of Springfield; two daughters, Corrine Claycomb (Andy Krisak) of Springfield and Jessica Ladendorf (Scott); brother, Leslie D. (Nina) Claycomb of Springfield, their children, Connie Dampier of St Mary's, Georgia, Steven Imlay (Beth) of Riverton, IL, Kimberly Earl Suiter (David Suiter) of Springfield, IL and Les Claycomb III of Florida; sister-in-law, Jeannie Claycomb and her children, Abbie Claycomb and Hunter Claycomb, both of Bolingbrook, IL; several great and great-great nieces and nephews; and many cousins.

Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.

A Celebration of Life for Curtis will be held on Thursday, June 15th, 2023, at the Elks Club (Lodge No. 158), 409 E Lake Shore Dr. Springfield, IL 62712.

Burial will be held at a later date.
