D. Marc Durako

Marc was born June 16, 1951, in Springfield, IL, the son of David G. and Patricia M. Hypke Durako. He married Debra “Debby” Frey Durako on December 17, 1977, at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Springfield IL.

Marc worked in the construction industry until his retirement in 2006. He enjoyed working on projects, serving others, fishing with his grandkids, and cooking.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Marc is survived by his wife, Debby Durako of Pleasant Plains; sons, Justin (wife, Amy) Durako of Pleasant Plains, and Jess (wife, Stacy) Durako of Bloomington; grandchildren, Carter and Drake Durako of Pleasant Plains and Lauren, George, and Kathleen Durako of Bloomington; mother, Patricia Durako of Springfield; siblings, Philip (wife, Colleen) Durako of Springfield, Douglas (wife, Sally) Durako of Bloomington, and Paul (wife, Debbie) Durako of Nashville, TN; and many nieces and nephews.

Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.

The family will have a private Memorial Service.

Family will host a Celebration of Life on Sunday, May 21, 2023 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. at the Grainery, 210 IL Rt 125, Pleasant Plains.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
