

Nadine was born in Mason City, IL, January 12, 1933 the daughter of Frederick H. and Freda (Menzel) Adkins. Nadine married Donald L. Nolting Jan. 28, 1960 and he preceded her in death Mar. 13, 2014. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her two daughters, Diana Law of Springfield, and Stephanie (husband Holmes) Giraldo of Waterford, CT, seven grandchildren: Tiffany Hook, Chad (Jackie) Spitz, Natanielle (James) Hatfield, Tobias Spitz, Taylor Spitz, Lyndsay Law and Johnny Law, seven great grandchildren: Bailey, Payton, Savanna, Jace, Nathaniel, Sebastian and Scarlett, one great great grandchild, Emmett, her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Les and Gretchen Nolting and several nieces and nephews.
She retired from the State of Illinois Secretary of State and was a member of Elm St. Christian Church. Nadine was a past member of the Postal Club, YWCA, Business Women’s Club, Springfield Orchid Club, and Springfield Cat Club. For over 70 years, she played pinochle with the same group. She enjoyed gardening, especially flowers, knitting and crochet. She was an accomplished pianist and organist. Her most enjoyable time was family vacations and gatherings.
A funeral service will be held at Bisch and Son Funeral Home 505 E. Allen St. Springfield, IL on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2023 at 10:30 am. The family will greet family and friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Mason City Cemetery, Mason City, IL.
