Deanna Lynn Alexander

Deanna Lynn Alexander, 56, of Springfield, died at 4:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at her home. Deanna was born September 22, 1953 in Coralville, IA the daughter of Clarence and Marcella Stiles Alexander. She married Carl R. Draper on September 22, 2007. Deanna earned her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Iowa and worked as a health insurance and health benefit plan and pension administrator. She later worked as a manager in the Sterile Processing department at Memorial Medical Center until December 2008. She was a member of the First Congregational Church and had a passionate interest in paper doll collecting. She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Alexander. She is survived by her husband, Carl of Springfield; her mother, Marcella Alexander of Leesburg, FL; a son, Jesse Pedersen of Coralville, IA; a daughter, Caite Pederson of Peoria; one grandchild, Sylver "Sy" Pedersen; a brother, Richard (wife, Corinne) Alexander of De Bary, FL and her nephews Nick and Rich, Jr.; and a sister, Jeanenne (husband, Jim) Tucker of Richmond, TX and her niece, Angie and nephew, Steve. Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center. Family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 10, 2010 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Funeral ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 11, 2010 at First Congregational Church, 2100 S. Bates Ave., Springfield, with Rev. Dan Dexter, officiating.
