
Delores ''Dodie'' Kay Harris, 57, of Springfield passed away at 5:20 p.m. Saturday, June 2, 2001 at St. Johns Hospice. Delores was born March 5, 1944, the daughter of George & Frances Utterback Furrow in Springfield. Ms. Harris, a graduate of Lanphier High School, worked as the supervisor of food services at Step by Step Learning Center from July 1, 1981 to November 4, 1998. She was a Lifetime member of the Disabled American Auxilliary and a member of the Navy Club 32 Auxilliary. She was also a member of Vineyard Christian Fellowship Church. She was preceeded in death by her parents, grandparents and several aunts and uncles. She is survived by two sons: Donald K. Harris (fiance, Tracy Heffron) and Timothy L. (Wife, Amy) Harris, both from Springfield; a sister: Pat (husband, Bob) Earl of Springfield; three nieces; two nephews; three great nieces; four great nephews; one uncle and several cousins. Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home from 4-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2001. Burial of the cremated remains will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 7, 2001 at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial services will be at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, June 7, 2001 at Vineyard Christian Fellowship Church. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society, 1305 Wabash, Suite J, Springfiled, IL 62704.
