

Delores was born on October 18, 1928, in Edwardsville, IL, the oldest child of four to Harry R. and Ruth Overstreet Daugherty. She married Eugene C. Randall on February 3, 1960, in Chicago, IL; he preceded her in death.
Delores graduated from Highland Community High School in 1946. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Tuskegee University and went on to earn a master’s degree from Howard University and later a second master’s degree from Columbia University. She was a member of Zeta Phi Beta sorority in college. Delores worked as a registered dietician for thirty-five years in Alabama and Illinois before retiring from Springfield Memorial Hospital in 1984 and she owned and operated Dee Tree’s for 50 years. She was also a member of the Macoupin and Sangamon Counties Diabetes Associations, MMC Retirees, Abundant Faith Christian Center, Morning Glory, and Rudolph Express Crafters. Through the years, she enjoyed ceramics, swimming at Fit Club, and watching game shows and Steve Harvey.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Devera “Bunny” Williams and B. Celeste Hurley; one brother, Delmar Daugherty; and two grandchildren, Erica and LeMar Gragg.
She is survived by her daughter, Kelly Lynn Sanders of Dawson; two grandchildren, Tiffany Gragg and Deondra Sanders; one great-grandchild, ‘Kel’ Lis Gragg and one on the way; and special cousin, Wendy Wider Burroughs.
Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Butler Funeral Home-Springfield, 900 S. Sixth St., Springfield. A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 11:30 a.m. with Minister Yvonne Drake officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
