Deloris Jane Woods

Deloris Jane Woods, 79, of Girard, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Heritage Health Center in Springfield. She was born December 2, 1935, in Edinburg to the late Ralph and Clara Mae Trader Richards. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Woods, sister, Eileen Castelli, granddaughter, April Hawkins, grandson, Michael Davenport, brother, Edward Richards. She worked for Dickey-john for 24 years in the shipping department. She will be greatly missed by her children, Charles Arnold, Ralph Arnold (best friend Rodney) of Hartford, IL, Doris (Joe) Johnson, of Graham, WA, Anna Arnold Dalton, Judith (Gerald) Davenport of Girard, IL; 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; sisters Florence Sinkhorn of Edinburg, Rita Manion of Springfield, and Carol (Bob) Higgins of Edinburg; brother, William Richards of Springfield; sister-in-law, Barb Richards of Edinburg; several nieces and nephews. Cremation rites will be accorded before services by Cremation Services of Central Illinois, Chatham. Her family will greet friends from 10:30am until the time of her celebration of life service at 11:30am, Wednesday, January 14, 2015 with Paula Staab Polk, funeral celebrant, at Staab Polk Memorial Home, 8855 State Route 4, Chatham, IL 62629.
