

Diane Lynn Bice, 57, of Riverton, died at 9:10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield. Diane was born on March 28, 1950, in Springfield, the daughter of Warren P., Jr. and M. Marscine Armstrong Bice. Diane graduated from Riverton High School, Class of 1970. She was a coordinator for Agent Supplies at AIG for over 25 years. Diane was a wonderful caretaker who always offered her help, and enjoyed spending time with loved ones, crocheting, knitting, reading, and cooking, especially baking. She attended St. James Catholic Church in Riverton. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Steven Bice. Diane is survived by her son, Matthew J. Bice of Riverton; her granddaughter, Ariana J. Bice; her sisters, Linda (husband, Bob) Viola and Cathy (husband, Jim) Black of Riverton, Laura (husband, Michael) Szabo of Barclay; her brothers, David (wife, Cheryl) Bice and Kevin (wife, Barb) Bice of Riverton and Jeff Bice of Springfield; her sister-in-law, Melanie Bice of Barclay; her aunts, Joann Treston of St. Paul, MN, Agnes Schwartz of Hannibal, MO, Pat Gages of Des Plaines, Harriet (husband, Paul) Hinz of Park Ridge, Carolyn (husband, Jim) O'Brien of Frankfort and Rita Cearlock of Springfield; her uncle, Jim Bice of Utica, NY; her nephews, Bobby (wife, Laura) Bice and Michael Bice both of Chicago, Jeremy (wife, Amy) Allen of Riverton, Marty Viola of Springfield, Danny Viola of Riverton and Sebastian Szabo of Barclay; her nieces, Lindsay (husband, Jason) Campbell and Breanna (husband, Chris) Van Huss both of Springfield, Amy (husband, J.B.) Baker of Riverton, Marcie (husband, Jerry) Kuchar of Sherman, Erica (husband, Jeb) Brown of Riverton, Jessica Bice of Williamsville, Alyssa and Alayna Currie and Isabella Szabo all of Barclay; her great-nephews, Elijah James Allen, Jacob Daniel Allen, Michael Bradley Allen and Colt Steven Brown all of Riverton and Jack Hayden Bice of Chicago; and her great-nieces, Jasmine Lee Campbell, Maddison Marscine Campbell, Annika Marie Van Huss, Emma Jane Van Huss and McKenna Lynn Van Huss all of Springfield and Molly Catherine Kuchar of Sherman. Family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 24, 2008 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Visitation will begin with a prayer at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Joseph G. Ring. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on March 25, 2008 at St. James Catholic Church, 112 N. 6th St., Riverton with Rev. Richard L. Chiola celebrant. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
