Donald L. Cash

Donald L. Cash, 64, of Springfield, died at 11:34 a.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2006 at his residence. Donald was born on June 13, 1941 in Edgar County, the son of Eugene and Alice Brown Cash. He married Connie Cramer on December 2, 1962. Mr. Cash was a member of First Christian Church. He retired as systems analyst from the Illinois State Police in 2002. Donald was a Lead Analyst and Project Manager of the Law Enforcement Agency Data System (L.E.A.D.S.) and of Criminal History Records Information (C.H.R.I.). He was a very caring and humorous gentleman who enjoyed spending time with his family. He enjoyed decorating the First Christian Church at Christmastime, decorating his own home and taking care of his lawn. He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Cash. Surviving is his wife; Connie of Springfield; two sons: Kevin Cash of Springfield, Jeff (wife, Heidi) Cash of Pittsfield; one granddaughter: Abby Cash of Pittsfield; two step grandchildren: Victoria and Emily Jankowski of Key West, FL; Mother and stepfather: Alice (husband, Don) Starkweather of Girard, IL; two brothers: Robert (wife, Emma) Cash of Sparta and Fenton (wife, Judy) Cash of Paris, IL; one sister-in-law: Joyce Hendricks of Glendale, AZ; two nieces, six nephews and several cousins. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at First Christian Church, 700 S. 6th St., Springfield, IL 62703. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at First Christian Church, with Rev. Rick Irwin, officiating. Cremation accorded by Cremation Tribute Center following the funeral service. Burial will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church, 700 S. 6th St., Springfield, IL 62703. The family of Donald L.
