Donna Lee Hohimer

She was born on April 23, 1930 in Porterville, CA, the daughter of the late Glen H. and Alice Louise (Lepper) Smith. She married F. Douglas Hohimer on Dec. 31, 1998 in Springfield and he preceded her in death on May 22, 2000.

Mrs. Hohimer worked as a customer service representative at Hobbs Corporation for 29 ½ years before retiring on June 30, 1995 and had also worked at Sears for 12 years. She was a member of Church of the Little Flower in Springfield and St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Minonk, IL.

She is survived by a son Joseph H. (wife Donna) Chambers of Streator, IL, daughter Carla (husband Bill) Williams of Minonk, IL, closest friends Jeri (husband Rich) Kile of Oglesby, IL and Sharon (husband Jim) Smith of Springfield, stepson Scott (wife Yolanda) Hohimer of Rockwood, TN, and friend Donna (husband Brian) Auer of Normal, IL. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield where visitation will be held on Friday, Aug. 16, 2013 from 6 to 8 pm. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013 at 10:30 am at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Minonk, with visitation from 9 am until time of the mass. Burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Minonk, IL.
