Donna Louise Marquez

Donna Louise Marquez, 61, of Springfield, died at 9:30 a.m. on December 21, 2007 at Memorial Medical Center. Donna was born on October 2, 1946 in Jackson, TN the daughter of Robert and Louise Bowers Usery. She married Anthony Marquez, Sr. on July 4, 1967 in Nashville, IL. She was preceded in death by her mother. Donna was a graduate of Collinsville High School where she was a Kahoks Indian dancer. She was formerly employed as a Marketing Assistant with Prudential Financial Services in Springfield, and most recently was the Aquatics Aerobic Director at the Fit Club. She taught aerobics for over 30 years, was a member of the National Fitness Club Association, and was presented with the National Fitness Award for Marketing in 2004 at the Nova National Awards ceremony in Las Vegas. She held many certifications including: AEA Water Certification, AFFA Group Exercise Certification, Aqualogics Certification, P.A.C.E., Silver Sneakers, Moms in Motion and American Red Cross CPR. She was a loving mother and grandmother and was a compassionate, selfless, optimistic and friendly person. She was a member of West Side Christian Church. She is survived by her husband: Anthony (Tony) Marquez, Sr. of Springfield; one son: Anthony (Tony) Marquez, Jr. of Springfield; one daughter: Kendra L. M. Carraro of Riverton; six grandchildren: Cameron, Austyn, Valary, Sydney, Clayton and Grant; father: Robert Ursery, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Family will receive friends from 5:00 � 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Funeral ceremonies will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2007 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home with Gary Winkleman officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
