Donna Louise Schuchardt

She was born in Springfield on October 6, 1939, the daughter of John Joseph and Josephine Mary (Skrelevicus) Peidl. Donna married William C. “Bill” Schuchardt on September 26, 1959.

Donna was very devoted to her faith and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was an executive with the Illinois Bell Telephone Company retiring after 35 years and was a proud alumnus of Ursuline Academy. In her spare time, Donna had a love for reading, cooking, crocheting and traveling to her condo in South Padre Island with family and friends. She was an avid animal lover and leaves behind her cherished dog, Winnie.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William; son, William Schuchardt, Jr.; sister, Nancy Evans; brother-in-law Donald L. Rogers and nephews, William Evans, Jr. and John Evans.

Donna is survived by her sister, Mary Ann (Peidl) Rogers; nieces, Brenda K. Rogers, Laura Rogers, and Amy (Jack) Calvin; great-nieces, Kathryn and Sydney Johnson, Lauren Calvin, and Emily Leefers; great-nephews, Brian (Christina) Johnson and Jon Calvin; and great-great nephews, William & Vincent Johnson.

Visitation and Mass of Christian Burial: Family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 24, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1345 N. 6th St., Springfield, until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Manuel P. Cuizon, celebrant.

Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
