Doris M. Faires Denniss

Doris M. Faires Denniss, 83, of Riverton, died on October 18, 2008 at Villa East Health Care. Doris was born on June 27, 1925, in Springfield, the daughter of Edward and Ethel Falconburg Moore. She married Roy E. Faires, Jr. and later married Alfred Denniss on March 16, 1957. They both precede her in death. Doris worked as an assembler for 23 years at Sangamo Electric, retiring in 1970. She moved to Riverton in 1995. Doris was also preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Rita Miller, Muriel Burris, and Charlotte Blissett; her brother, Daniel Moore; and one great great grandchild. She is survived by her children, Judy Denniss of Simi Valley, CA, Jeannie Bleu of Thousand Oaks, CA, David "Mike" (wife, Sam) Faires of Huntsville, TX, Denny Denniss of Thousand Oaks, CA, and Patrick "Pat" (wife, Carol) Faires of Riverton and; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; her siblings, Robert (wife, Lynn) Stubbs of Springfield, Frank (wife, Shirley) Stubbs and Ray (wife, Ginger) Stubbs, both of Macon, MO; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 20, 2008 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. A funeral ceremony will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home with Rev. John Keyes, officiating.
