

He was born in Springfield Dec. 28, 1920, the son of John Leslie Lambert and Blanche Bulpitt Lambert. He married Barbara Ann Dolf on Feb. 26, 1944 in Ann Arbor, Mi.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in the Pacific Theatre during World War II, and was recalled to active duty during the Korean Conflict.
Dr. Lambert graduated from Springfield High School, DePauw University and the University of Michigan School Of Dentistry where he was a member of Xi Psi Phi dental fraternity.
He practiced dentistry in the Navy from 1944 to 1946, and again briefly in 1953. He practiced dentistry in Springfield from 1946 to 1976 when he moved to Marquette, MI. He practiced dentistry in Marquette from 1976 to 1978. He then moved back to Springfield and practiced dentistry until his retirement in 1987. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Kiwanis and the G.V. Black Dental Society, serving as President and heading the committee to rewrite the constitution.
He is survived by his wife Barbara; three daughters, Frances (William) Hails of Littleton,CO. , Louise (Woody) Hester of Springfield and Phyllis (Michael) Korybalski of Ann Arbor, MI.; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Hails Hedda, David Hails, Hong Ngu Hails, Jonathan Hester, Jason Hester, Joshua Hester, Jessica Hester Reid and Daniel Korybalski and twelve great grandchildren.
The family is being served by Boardman-Smith Funeral Chapel where friends may call Tuesday May 18, 2010 from 1:00 PM until the time of services there at 2:00 PM with Rev. Wellington P. Witkop officiating.
