

Edna M. Rosa, 88, of Springfield, died at 1:02 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at Memorial Medical Center. Edna was born April 29, 1927 in Springfield, the daughter of James H. and Clara J. Bliefnick Canham. She married Angelo Rosa, Jr. on June 14, 1947 in Springfield; he preceded her in death on October 19, 1999. Edna was employed as Secretary and Treasurer with Moscardelli and Son Movers. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church and St. Agnes Altar and Rosary Society. Edna loved her winters in Florida with her friends, reading, crossword puzzles, and traveling. She also enjoyed attending fish fries and her afternoon toddie time during Judge Judy. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael Lee Rosa; four brothers; and four sisters. She is survived by her three sons, Ronald Rosa of Lake Dallas, TX, Angelo (companion, Janice) Rosa III of Mattoon, and John (wife, Jane) Rosa of Taylorville; two daughters, Beverly Dillon and Linda (husband, Pat) Kain, both of Springfield; 15 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Visitation will begin with a prayer service at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Mass: 9:30 a.m. on Friday, July 10, 2015 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 245 N. Amos Ave., Springfield with Rev. Robert Jallas, celebrant. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to: St. Agnes School, 251 N. Amos Ave., Springfield, IL 62702.
