

Elizabeth "Beth" Miller, 65, of Springfield, passed away the evening of Sunday, August 9, 2015, at Memorial Medical Center. Beth was born February 3, 1950, in Eldorado, IL, the daughter of James Carlynn and Wilma Dell Peyton Springs. She married Clyde Miller on January 19, 1980, in Springfield; he preceded her in death on May 11, 2011. Beth graduated from North Greene High School in White Hall and earned her bachelor's degree from Illinois Wesleyan University. She was employed as an RN and later as a medical coder. Most recently, she was the scorekeeper for multiple sports at Williamsville High School. She was a member of Chatham Baptist Church and the Quilting Club. Beth enjoyed quilting, cross stitching, crocheting, reading, attending sporting events in Williamsville, and spoiling her grandson, Josh. She was also preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her son, Eric (wife, Tiffany) Miller of Lynwood, WA; two daughters, Heather (husband, Brett) Nelson of Bloomingdale, IL, and Megan Miller of Springfield; grandson, Joshua Kolton; two sisters, Lynn (husband, Ron) Ward of Marion and Anne (husband, Doug) Nagel of Taylorville; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center following the visitation. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 17, 2015 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. A private family graveside ceremony will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
