

She was born in Springfield, January 12, 1929 the daughter of Harry Miller and Beatrice E. (Adloff) Schnirring. She married George Lee Webb in Springfield September 18, 1982 and he preceded her in death April 1, 1997. Her parents and her brother Harry Schnirring Jr. also preceded her in death.
Betty spent her early years on the family farm. She loved the outdoors. She attended West Suburban Hospital Nursing School in Oak Park, IL from 1947-1948 before returning to Springfield. Betty joined the State of Illinois Department of Revenue serving there for 35 years.
She was a lifelong member of Historic Grace Lutheran Church where she was active in several capacities, serving wherever she was needed, and often times without being asked. Betty worked for many years in the Grace Food Pantry.
She loved to travel with her favorite destination being Branson, MO. The sights and sounds of Branson and the entertainment was most enjoyable. She also enjoyed the Springfield Symphony Orchestra and was appreciative of the many performances she attended. Betty had a passion for all animals, from her pet bull on the farm to the dogs and cats in her neighborhood later in life. She loved spending time with friends and most notably Joanie and Paula. She would assist Paula in her hair salon and the salon that Paula managed at Concordia Village for many years enjoying the company and visits with the patrons. She volunteered hundreds of hours in the Activity Department at Concordia Village with Joanie. Betty assisted the clergy at Concordia Village, helping to gather the residents, handing out the service bulletins for every service including holidays. She was recognized by Concordia Village several times for her dedication and volunteering. As her health began to fail, Joanie and Paula were at her side to help her. She appreciated their kindness and devotion along with other family and friends.
Surviving are her niece, Diane (Rik) Born, her nephew, Paul (Dorian) Schnirring, her grandnieces: Hilary (Tim), Elizabeth (Tyler) and Natalie, grandnephew, Andrew (Katie), great grandnieces Elie, Maggie and Carter and great grandnephews, Grayson, Miller and Ben, several cousins, her dear friends, Joanie Dubois and Paula Campbell and many other friends.
Visitation: The family will greet friends at Historic Grace Lutheran Church 714 E. Capitol St. Springfield, IL Friday, Dec. 2, 2022 from 9:00 am till 10:15 am.
Funeral Service: A funeral service will follow at 10:30 am Friday at the church with Pastor Tom Krieger officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish may direct memorial contributions to the Stained Glass Restoration Fund at Historic Grace Lutheran Church 714 E. Capitol St. Springfield, IL 62701
