Ella Mae Beals, 93, of Springfield, formerly of Colfax, IA, died at 4:10 p.m. Friday, March 12, 2004 at Lewis Memorial Christian Village. Ella Mae was born June 6, 1910 in Colfax, Iowa the daughter of Mel and Anna Lester Ward. Ms. Beals was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Annie Thompson and Todd Pickles; and two brothers, Edward and Buster Ward. She is survived by two sons: Stanley (wife, Helen) Beals of Springfield and Norman (wife, Linda) Beals of Colfax, IA; daughter: Kathryn (husband, Don) Gullion of Colfax, IA; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Family will receive friends from 12-2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, 2004 at Walter Coburn Funeral Home, 24 W. Howard, Colfax, IA. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, 2004 at Walters Coburn Funeral Home, 24 W. Howard, Colfax, IA. Burial will follow at McKeever Cemetery in Colfax, IA.
