Emma Lou Draper

Emma Lou Draper, 67, of Springfield, IL, passed away at 7:25am on March 1, 2011 at Lewis Memorial Christian Village.

She was born January 29, 1944 in Baltimore, Maryland the daughter of Rufus Orgra and Margaret Alverta (Degraw) Janes Jr.

Emma enjoyed a long career as a Manager for Family Pride Laundry and Dry Cleaners.

She is survived by two sons William Draper III and Mark (Lynn) Draper, two daughters; Sheri Crenshaw (Don III) and Terry Whitehurst, eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren ,two brothers; Rufus (Lori) Janes II and Milton (Judy) Janes, one sister Sherleen (Bill) Draper, her long time companion Ronald Ross and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She enjoyed crocheting and reading and loved her dog “Buddy”.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

A Memorial service will be held at 3:30p.m. on March 5, 2011 at Bisch and Son Funeral Home in Springfield. Visitation will take place one hour prior also at Bisch and Son Funeral Home in Springfield.
