Eric Huckaby Jr

Eric Huckaby, Jr., 39, of Springfield, died on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at his home. Eric was born November 17, 1969 in Springfield, the son of Eric Huckaby, Sr. and Susan Fox Huckaby. Eric graduated from Lanphier High School in 1988 where he was a member of the wrestling team. He worked for the Illini Country Club, Ross Isaacs and Lime Street Cafe. He was a member of a bowling team and loved Harley-Davidson motorcycles and wrestling. Eric was a loving, fun, dedicated hard worker and was very much loved by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and two uncles. He is survived by his parents Eric "Ric" (wife Marilyn) Huckaby of Pawnee and Susan Huckaby of Springfield; his sister, Robin Earl of Springfield; his special niece, Emily Elizabeth Earl; two grandfathers, Martin A. Manning and Charles Murphy, both of Springfield; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family will receive guests from 1-4 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Funeral ceremony will follow at 4 pm with Rev. David Hoefler officiating. Immediately after the funeral ceremony the family would like to invite friends to a celebration of life at the D.A.V. Club, Lake Area 25, Springfield, IL 62712. Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center following the ceremonies.
