Esther L. Kublick

She was born on February 12, 1919 in Springfield, the daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Soldestrom) Johnson. She married Victor Kublick on March 16, 1940 in Springfield and he preceded her in death in 2007.

Mrs. Kublick worked at Bunn-O-Matic in Springfield for 8 years, retiring in 1970. She previously had worked at Sangamo Electric and The Shoe Factory. She was a member of Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in Springfield.

She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and loved being with her family. She enjoyed cooking, dancing, gospel music, and her pets.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Donna (husband Dennie) Miller of Springfield and Dolores (husband Robert) Wilson of Litchfield, IL, 5 grandchildren, Michael Smith of Springfield, Andrew (wife Lori) Smith of Jacksonville, Brady Smith (Shelly, deceased) of Jacksonville, IL, Vicki (husband Michael) Stehn of Springfield and James (wife Tia) Rapps of Springfield, 3 step-grandchildren, Dawn Miller of Frederick, MD, Kathy (husband Mark) Wolf of Sterling, VA, and Jennifer (husband Dan) Burrell of Bristo, VA, 7 great-grandchildren, Matt (wife Jena) Smith, Abigail Smith, Caitlin Smith, Brady Smith, Lane Smith, Elizabeth Stehn, Sarah Stehn, 5 step great-grandchildren, Lacey Wilson, Rachel Wolf, Hunter Wolf, Sara Burrell, and Jack Burrell, 1 great great-granddaughter, Daisy Smith, 1 sister, Helen Walkup of Peoria, IL and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Alvin Johnson, a son-in-law, Ted Smith, and a step grandson, Mark Wilson.

Services are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield where visitation will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2011 from 4 to 7 pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 2, 2011 at 11:30 am at the funeral home, with Rev. Bill Zanton and Rev. Ron Moorman officiating. Burial to follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield.
