Evelyn M. Trover

She was born on Oct. 13, 1920, in Girard, IL, the daughter of the late Otis W. and Vega M. (Shull) Riffey. She married Ralph M. Trover in Springfield on Oct. 12, 1944 and he preceded her in death on March 29, 1993.

Evelyn worked as a clerk for the Charles Thomas Publishing Co, in Springfield, and was a member of First Church of the Brethren in Springfield.

She is survived by her 2 sons, William Trover and Peter Trover, both of Springfield.

Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister Alverta Holsheiser, and a brother Laverne “Vern” Riffey.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield. A graveside memorial service will be held on Friday, Dec. 30, 2016 at 10 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Virden, IL. A time of fellowship will then follow at 1st Church of the Brethren, 2115 Yale Blvd., Springfield, IL 62703. Per her wishes, cremation rites were accorded.
