Frances R. Schroll Lingle

She was born January 19, 1916 in Macoupin County, the daughter of the late Paul and Gertrude (Fink) Schroll. She married Clarence Raymond “Ray” Zittle on August 19, 1938 in Springfield and he preceded her in death in 1968. She later married Archie Lingle on June 1, 1985 in Springfield and he preceded her in death in 1995.

Mrs. Lingle was a homemaker. She belonged to Home Extension and participated in bowling leagues. She was a member of Laurel United Methodist Church in Springfield, serving as church secretary for many years.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Patricia (husband Robert) Milnes of Springfield, Sharyn (husband Jack) Dodds of Chatham, IL, and Lisa Dickerson of Springfield; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Services are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield where visitation will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2010 from 4 to 7 pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 23, 2010 at 10 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Springfield.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
