

Fran was born December 30, 1920, in Buffalo Hart, IL, the daughter of Ray A. and Lucy (Letterst) Max. She married Carroll O. Williamson on March 7, 1942, in Williamsville, IL; he preceded her in death on October 14, 2010.
Fran graduated from Williamsville High School and was a homemaker for a majority of her life. She partnered in farming with her husband Carroll for many years in the Pleasant Plains and New Berlin area. Fran was a member of the Farm Bureau, 4-H, an active member at Peter Cartwright UMC in Pleasant Plains and Westside Christian Church, and she was a volunteer at Lewis Memorial Christian Village. Fran was also a great cook and seamstress. She was a Christian mentor to many and lived her faith by example right up until the very end. The family thanks the staff at Reflections of Memory Care at Villas of Hollybrook for their many blessings they provided and excellent care.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Dean Ray Williamson; four sisters, Mae Castleman, Loriene Garner, Rebecca Wilson, and Frances Max; and four brothers, Leroy, Wilbur, Rev. Homer L. and Raymond Max.
Fran is survived by her son, Donn C. (Judy) Williamson of Alma, NE; daughter, JoAnn Niccolls of Springfield; grandchildren, Jeremiah Williamson, Ryan Niccolls, Michael (Shawna) Williamson, Anne Hohnholt, Amy (Ryan) Thompson, April (Mike) Shaw, Shane Williamson, Brian Scarborough and Phillip Scarborough; great-grandchildren, Brogan Williamson, Landon and Dane Hohnholt, Elliott, Gabrielle, and Christian Williamson, Olivia Thompson, Aviana and Amrik Shaw, and Cody and Kinami Scarborough; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2022, at Butler Funeral Home-Springfield, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield, IL. A funeral ceremony will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Larry Brandon and Cindy Lash officiating.
Burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Williamsville, IL.
