

He was born October 21, 1929 in Springfield, the son of Max and Rose Oberman Pell. He married Ann Margaret “Maggie” Lariviere McNair on his birthday in Las Vegas in 1979 and she preceded him in death in 1997. He was also preceded in death by his brother Arnold Pell, his parents, and an infant daughter.
Frank is survived by his son, Charles Joseph Pell (wife Nancy Peterson) of Springfield, his brother Morrie Pell (Carolyn) of Springfield, his sisters Irene Hamrick and Frances Feuer of Springfield, and his sister Florene Pell of Waianae, Hawaii; a new grandson, Timon Daly Pell, and two granddaughters Blair and Maxon Perkins; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
For the last nearly five years he has been a resident of the Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy where he has been afforded compassionate care by a staff dedicated to those who have served in the military. Frank served his country in the army during the Korean War.
Visitation will be held from 830-1030 am on Monday, October 21, 2013 at Bisch Funeral Home, 505 East Allen Street followed by a 10:30am service at the funeral home officiated by Rabbi Barry Marks and a burial at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
