

Gwendolyn Louise Frantz, 75, of Springfield died at 8:38 a.m. Friday, November 18, 2005 at her residence. Gwendolyn was born May 2, 1930 in Springfield the daughter of Frank Leroy and Frances Wylie Bentley. Ms. Frantz was a 1948 graduate of Tri-City High School. She was employed for many years as a dental nurse for Drs. Milhon and Booth. Gwendolyn then went on to work at the Ryerson Center as a detox technician and counselor until her retirement in 1981. She was a member of First United Methodist Church for 52 years. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by one son: Bill (wife, Leslie) Ruschmeyer of Springfield; one daughter: Tammy Kraemer of Springfield; three grandchildren: Kristy Smith, Nicole Way and Seth Ruschmeyer; three great grandchildren: Samantha Smith, Ariana Wankerl and Drew Smith; two brothers: Larry Bentley of Kiln, MS and Corwin Bentley of Springfield; one sister: Judith (husband, Jim) Prichard of Springfield and several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 21, 2005 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2005 at Roselawn Memorial Park with Dr. Roger Rominger officiating.
