She was born July 14, 1916 in Springfield, the daughter of Edward Ernest and Helen Tabor Cummins. On March 15, 1936 she married Robert Beam in Springfield. He preceded her in death in 2001.
Mrs. Beam was a member of Unity Church of Practical Christianity.
She is survived by her two sons, Robert Beam, Jr. and Thomas (wife, Rosemary) Beam both of Springfield; a step-sister, Betty Brown; two cousins, Walter Tabor and Tom Tabor; and several niece and nephews.
Services will be private for the family. Interment will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Memorial Contribution may be made to Unity Church of Practical Christianity, 417 E. Cordelia St., Springfield, IL 62703
