Harold LeRoy Sanders

Harold L. Sanders of Auburn, died at his residence on Monday, May 20, 2013. He was born on February 14, 1936 to Frank and Angeline Foley Sanders. He married Shirley Ann Aalfs on December 16, 1967 and she preceded him in death on July 5, 2002. They lived in Auburn over 35 years. Mr. Sanders was an installer for Otis Elevator for many years. Harold was preceded in death by his sister, Angeline Matson and stepson, Larry Spilde. He is survived by his daughter, Suzanne Sanders of Chicago, IL; stepsons Scott Spilde of Iowa Falls, IA, and Bruce (Vickie) Spilde of Hartland, MN; step grandchildren, Kyle, Misty, Crysta, Wade, Heath, Shane and several great grandchildren; brothers, Frank Richard (Rose) Sanders of Virden and Michael Anthony (Sharon) Sanders of Greenview; sisters, Elizabeth Ulinski of Riverton, Doris (Mel) Carey of Camden, Dolores (John) Joplin of Springfield and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation: 4-7pm, Friday, May 24, at Staab Polk Memorial Home, 8855 State Rt. 4, Chatham. Cremation Services of Central Illinois, Chatham, will conduct cremation rites. Memorial gathering starting at 10am, until the time of the memorial service at 11am Saturday, May 25, at Staab Polk Memorial Home, Chatham, with Paula Staab Polk as funeral celebrant.
