

Harold "Hoppy" was born January 13, 1928, the son of Kenneth and Wreta Davis Workman. Sister Lela Mae Speaks and husband Robert "Lefty" Speaks both preceded him in death. Harold was a sergeant in the United States Air Force from 1946 through 1949. He married his beloved wife, Naomi Lee Holloway on September 14, 1952, who survives him. He is also survived by two sons, Stanley E. (wife, Lisa), Kevin (wife, Kathy) Workman; four grandchildren, Kyle Violet, Kristi Workman, Angela (Eric) Jackson and Craig (Desa) Workman; three great-grandchildren, Madelyn and Mason Jackson and Carter Workman; and several nieces and nephews.
Harold was a banker for over 45 years with his career including Vice President of First State Bank in New Berlin. He was a 50 year member of Masonic Lodge 1158, where he served as treasurer. He was a lifelong member of the Loami United Methodist Church. Harold served on the Loami Village Board and operated the village water department and was a charter member of the Loami Fire Department. Harold's hobbies and interests included Air Force Baseball, fast pitch softball, square dancing, reading, dirt bike racing, trap shooting, carpentry and woodworking, and flying airplanes as an instrument rated, certified, pilot.
Harold lived his life by example. He was a beloved and devoted husband, proud and loving father, a doting grandfather and great-grandfather. He is intensely loved by his family and friends. He was an exceptional man and he will be sorely missed. Harold's life was a life of service. He served his God, his family, his country, and his community. His Lord has said "well done, my good and faithful servant".
Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at McCullough-Delaney & Butler Funeral Home, 714 E. Gibson St., New Berlin.
Funeral Ceremony: 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 16, 2015 at Loami United Methodist Church, 112 Coley St., Loami, with Rev. Donald Peck and Rev. Keith Speaks officiating. Private family burial will be held at Sulphur Springs Cemetery at a later date.
