Harry E. Buck III

Harry was born November 24, 1964, in Jacksonville, IL, the son of Harry Edward Jr. and Judy (Carrigan) Buck. He married Karen K. Lawler on May 16, 1987, at Blessed Sacrament Church in Springfield, IL.

Harry graduated from Auburn High School in 1983 and attended St. Louis College of Pharmacy. He was employed with RECC in Auburn from 1986 to 1989 and then for CWLP from 1989 until his retirement in 2020. Harry was a member of IBEW Local 193. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan and enjoyed golfing, his lobster boils, and rib cook-offs. Harry loved, above everything else, spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Beth Vetter.

Harry is survived by his wife, Karen K. Buck of Foley, AL; sons, Zachary (companion, Kelly Casad) Buck of Edinburg, and Travis (Charmaine) Buck of Rockford; grandson, Caiden, and two more grandchildren on the way; parents, Harry Jr. and Judy Buck of Jacksonville, IL; sister, Teri (Melvin) Dambacher of Springfield; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation: Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at Butler Funeral Home- Springfield, 900 S. Sixth St., Springfield.

Funeral Mass: 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Blessed Sacrament Church, 1725 S. Walnut St., Springfield, IL with Rev. Jeff Grant, celebrant.

Burial will follow at Old Salem Cemetery.
