Helen Marie Pritchard

Helen Marie Pritchard, 90, of Springfield, passed away at 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at St. John's Hospice. Helen was born February 13, 1925 in Springfield, the daughter of Earl E. and Juanita (Cross) Henson. Helen attended Liberty Elementary and Feitshans High School. She retired as a receptionist at Pope John Paul Apartments (now Capitol Plaza Apartments) and was also their longest tenant. She was outgoing and enjoyed playing bingo, attending the IL State Fair and other area celebrations and family functions. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Ed Pritchard; three sisters, Marcella Lamsargis, Venita Linder, and Eleanor Seiders; and three nephews, Mike Linder, and Terry and Danny Lamsargis. She is survived by her two sons, Rick (wife, Tabetha) Pritchard of Farmersville and Stu (wife, Judi) Elmer of Elkhart; daughter-in-law, Patricia Pritchard; one daughter, Nancy (husband, Paul) Klockenga of Florida; one brother, Earl Henson, Jr; nine grandchildren; and many great and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies. Memorial Gathering: Family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield.
