

He was born on Jan. 10, 1922 in Roodhouse, IL, the son of the late Elmer and Courtney (Rexroad) Jackson. He married Olga Stocky on August 9, 1945 in New York, NY and she preceded him in death on Jan. 30, 2004.
Mr. Jackson worked as a power plant electrical supervisor for 30 years, retiring in 1983. He served in the U.S. Navy during the World War II era and was a member of the American Legion Post #32.
He is survived by a son Wayne Jackson (companion Linda Sellers) of Fairplay, MO, a daughter Connie (husband Larry) Beck of Spaulding, IL, a son-in-law Gary Pinkerton of Springfield, 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters Lorraine Green of Springfield and Wilma (husband Jack) Suttles of Jacksonville, IL, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a son David Neal Jackson in 1975, a daughter Carol Pinkerton in 2007, a brother Clarence Jackson in 2014 and 2 sisters Doris Covey of Jacksonville and Leta Jones of Wisconsin.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield. Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. No services have been scheduled at this time.
