Ida E. Williams, 97, of Springfield and formerly of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 8, 2009 at Heritage Manor. Ida was born November 11, 1911 (11-11-11) in Toledo, Ohio. A graduate of Woodward High School, she married Charles M (Bud) Williams on September 23, 1933. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and her favorite past-times were visiting with friends, reading, sitting on the porch, and taking trips to casinos. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grand-mother, Ida enjoyed her family very much. She shared the gift of happiness with everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her and she will be deeply missed. Ida was preceded in death by her husband Charles M. (Bud) Williams and daughter Nancy (Anthony) Carlos. Survivors include her son, Dennis Williams of Springfield, IL; grandsons, Todd Carlos of Maui, Hawaii and Theodore (Ted) Carlos of Austin, Texas; and two great-grandchildren. The family of Ida Williams is being served by Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield, IL. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Toledo Memorial Cemetery, Sylvania, Ohio.
