Jacqueline “Jackie” Mosley, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, October 18, 2025, at the age of 84 years old. Jackie passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family.
Born October 14, 1941, in St. Louis, Missouri, Jacqueline was the daughter of the late William Meyer and Fern (Cox) Meyer. She lived a life defined by deep devotion, steadfast love, and resolute strength, finding her greatest joy in caring for her family. Her home was a haven of warmth and support, where she poured her heart into those she loved.
Before beginning her professional career, Jacqueline was a dedicated stay-at-home mom, laying the foundation of character and love for her children. Later, she served the State of Illinois, retiring from Central Management Services in 1999 after 14 years of dedicated service.
In her free time, she found joy in reading, decorating, shopping, playing bingo, and tending to her digital farm, Hayday. Her greatest source of strength and comfort was her deep, abiding Christian faith. She sought God’s guidance daily through prayer, reading her Bible, and watching the timeless teachings of Pastor Charles Stanley.
Jacqueline was joyfully reunited in Heaven by her beloved husband, Paul H. Mosley; her cherished daughter and best friend, Annette Gay; and her siblings: Jack Meyer, Bill Meyer, Joan Kurtz, Judy Meyer, and Thomas Meyer.
Jacqueline’s memory will be treasured and upheld by her six devoted daughters: Debra Dean, Christine Wenke, Sherry Dean, Michelle (Dale) Toole, Paula (Ron) Peterson, and Melinda Gastorf; and her loving son-in-law, Michael Gay, whom she loved as a son. She also leaves behind her surviving siblings: Barbara Modlin, Jim (Janet) Meyer, and Fern Sendejas, and two stepdaughters, whom she loved as her own, Melissa Ramsey and Lindsay Boston.
She was the proud and loving grandmother of fourteen: Perry Williams, Jacqueline (Kevin) White, Justin (Tracey) Dean, Jason Williams, Matthew (Charisma) Jimison, Megan (Travis) Rife, Melinda Jimison, Wade (Jenna) Stubbs, Warren (Sicily) Toole, Brittany Hinojosa, Stephanie Hinojosa, Anthony Hinojosa, Wesley Gastorf, and Macie Gastorf. She also leaves behind a host of cherished great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and delight.
Her legacy of faith, unconditional warmth, enduring strength, and profound love for life will forever remain a source of comfort and inspiration to all who were blessed to know her.
