James Thayer Mohan II, 17, of Springfield, passed away at 6:04 p.m., July 4, 2001 at his home. He was born January 23, 1984 the son of Robert B. Mohan and Cindy L. Sidener in Springfield. His father preceded him in death on June 1, 2000. James was a member of Christ the King Church. He graduated from Christ the King Grade School and attended Ursuline Academy and Springfield High School. He is survived by his mother: Cindy L. Sidener of St. Louis, MO; a brother: Michael D. (wife, Christina) and two nieces: Kori and Alyssa Mohan; two half-brothers: Ronald A. Cunningham II and Gerald A. Cunningham III all of Springfield. Grandparents: James T. and Doris Mohan, Barbara and Cecil Kennedy, and Dani Mohan, all of Springfield, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home on Sunday, July 8, 2001 from 3-6 p.m. with a Wake Service at 3 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Monday, July 9, 2001 at Christ the King Church at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. David Lantz celebrant. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central Illinois 723 N. Bruns Lane, Springfield, IL 62702.
