

James R. "Jim" Warren, 83, of Springfield, passed away at 1:28 a.m. on Friday, March 23, 2018 at The Bridge Care Suites. Jim was born June 20, 1934 in Lincoln, the son of Walter D. and Helen Seefeldt Warren. He married Kathleen Sullivan on February 4, 1956 at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Jim was a graduate of Lincoln High School. He proudly served in the United States Navy Reserve. Jim began his career at Bates Chevrolet as a master craftsman. He owned Warrens Body World, Continental Autobody, and Discount Auto Paints and Supplies. He was the Commodore of the Midstate Region of American Power Boat Association. Jim was a part time resident of Lakeland, Florida for over 20 years. He was passionate about boat racing and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Timothy M. Warren; and two sisters, Phyllis Turner and Delores Parr. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Warren of Springfield; three children, Dana Wood of Springfield, Stacy (Doug) Bangert of Springfield, and J. Todd (Dianne) Warren of PA; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 9:00 to 10:15 a.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Funeral Ceremony: 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, with Celebrant Judy Woerner officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Pawnee.
