Jim was born June 9, 1962, in Springfield, IL, the son of George J. and Judith L. Bressan Rollet.
He graduated from Lanphier High School and worked as a carpenter. Jim was a member of JJ Ventures Dart League and International Brick Collectors Association. He was an avid bottle and paving brick collector, a dart enthusiast, artist, and an amateur local historian.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Jim is survived by his children, Jennifer (Dan) Haselett, Laurie Ann Rollet, and Brian Jacob Rollet, all of Springfield; grandson, Parker Haselett; mother, Judith L. (Louie L. )Adams of Springfield; siblings, Jeanine (Dale) Schlecht, Ronald (Kimberly) Rollet, Elisabeth Adams, Aletha (Robert) Jerome, and Jonathan Adams; and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
The family will host a Memorial Gathering from 10:00 – 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at Farmingdale Presbyterian Church, 7971 Farmington Cemetery Rd., Pleasant Plains. A Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 am, with Rev. Steve Smith officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
