Janet G. Davis

Janet G. Davis, 63, of Petersburg, IL, died Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at Memorial Medical Center.

She was born in Herrin, IL February 23, 1947 the daughter of Arthur B. and Dorles G. Palmer Curry. She married Joe E. Davis September 23, 1966. Her parents preceded her in death.

Janet was the Finance Manager of the Illinois State Veterinarian Medical Association. She was a life member of the Illinois State Police Heritage Foundation. She loved spending time with her family. Her grandchildren were her hobby.

Surviving are her husband Joe, her two daughters; Angela (husband John) Southeard and Alicia (fiancée Kevin Wade) Davis both of Petersburg, IL, two grandchildren; J.J. Davis and Jolen Sutheard both of Petersburg, five step grandchildren; Jacob and Lacey Sutheard both of Niantic, IL., Ryan and Christopher Wade of Petersburg, and Megan Wade of Riverton, IL., her sister, Diane (husband Paul) Johnson, of Texico, IL and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Cremation rites will be accorded by the Bisch Crematory.

The family will greet friends from 1:00 pm Saturday June 26, 2010 until time of a memorial service at 2:00 pm Saturday at the Rock Creek Presbyterian Church rural Petersburg. Rev's Rick Bilyeu and Dave Daniel will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, those that wish, may direct memorial contributions to the American Lung Association or the American Cancer Society.
